Legal filing requirements: Joint Stock companies in Croatia are required to publish their financial statements. It is not compulsory for other company types in Croatia to publish financial statements, however, these companies are all obliged to prepare financial statements and file them with the State by 30 April each year. In general terms, financial statements are only available if the company discloses them. All the public and private companies must file financial statements and only Joint Stock Co must publish at the end of the year. Other companies are not required to do this. All must file their financial statements in the Ministry of Finance (Tax Administration) and in the Payment Operations Institute (ZAP) at 30 April, also in the Commercial Court until 30 September. Non-profit organisations are required to file their financial statements at 28 February in the State Auditory Office.
